Hi! I am sassy sister #1,
numero uno…. The top dog, the head honcho, . Well, I am the
oldest of the three of us, so technically I am #1….. Just don’t tell Mollie.
Anyway, I’m so glad you’re
here! I am Robin, the oldest and wisest
(again, shhhh). I have been married what
seems like for.ev.a. to a great guy and we have 5 boys. Yes, five.
You can close your mouth now.
Three are grown and on their own and we have two teens left in the house, ages 13 and
14. I think the good Lord decided I needed a challenge and they drive me completely bonkers are
one of life’s greatest blessings.
Football season gets CRAZY at our house.
I have a Cowboys’ fan, a Dolphins’ fan, a Colts’ fan, one that changes
his fandom almost yearly (but never teams with his brothers), and one who
basically despises the sport. My TV
seems to only work on NFL channel…. Except to watch Dr. Who.
I also have a fiesty Shih-poo named Bernie… yep, another boy.
And a father-in-love, who lives in the garage apartment out back. Oh, and I can’t forget our eight chickens. Did I say my life is CRAZY??
I was a late bloomer
education-wise. I went back to college
for realsies when the baby was two weeks old.
I had a ten, eight, four, and a one year old PLUS the newborn. Yeppers, I know. CRAZY.
But I made it! I graduated from
Stephen F. Austin State University in 2003.
I have taught Pre-K
(please, don’t EVER NEVER send me back!), KinderLOVE, 1st, 2nd,
and 4th….
And a few years of homeschool. My true love is 1st and as the
principal fairy would have it, I’m moving there this year after teaching
Kindergarten last year in a new district.
I’m so excited I don’t have to be a newbie again! Yay! And,
my sister, Mollie, and I will be teaching the same grade level this year! Double Yay!!
Speaking of sisters, mine
are the sassiest, funniest, and most talented you will come across. They are 12 and 13 years younger than I…our mom and dad had two oopsies and they turned out pretty
amazing! Ashley is the quiet, sweet one
and Mollie (in typical baby of the family fashion) is the bossy, in charge,
tell-it-like-it is one. We decided to
take on the blogging world together simply because we all share a passion for
teaching and we love doing things together.
They are the cheese to my macaroni, the butter to my bread, the almonds
to my chocolate…can
you tell I love food??
Our most recent pic....Ashley just gave birth to baby #4! |
I also love yard sales, thrift
stores, coffee, and teaching (duh). I love all
things crafty and décor oriented. I have
a real heart for kids in foster care…and since my nest is getting close to empty, my hubby and I
are going through the process to become foster parents. Life is amazing. And wild.
And busy. And chaotic. And messy.
And unpredictable. But I love
it. Thanks for being a part of
mine.
I hope our blog is a
source for ideas and inspiration to nurture your heart for teaching. It is truly my, our, passion and we hope to share it with you! Now, enough about me. I’ve typed too long….. and ain’t nobody got time for that!
Happy blog exploring!
